Our non-metallic inserts are a reinforced Nylon polymer. It provides a great blend of strenght, electrical resistance, chemical resistance, and corrosion resistance. 

Does PSG Fastener participate in industry associations?
We belong to AREMA, REMSA, SME, NACE, and TRB. We are up to date on the latest specification. 

Can you help us in choosing the best plating option for our hardware?
We can recommend the ideal plating for your application. We will go through your application and supply the best solution. 

Can you make any custom inserts?
Custom inserts are our specialty. We design our parts, build our own tooling, and mold the products ourselves. We can supply a custom part in a very short amount of time. 

How many holes do you get per drill bit?
100 holes is not uncommon. We train your drillers to achieve maximum life from our Corefast drill bits.

We have over 3 million Insulguard inserts in Service. NYCTA in New York, SEPTA in Philadelphia, MARTA in Atlanta, MTA in Baltimore, BART and MUNI in San Fransisco, as well as UPRR, BNSF, NS, and CSX are just some of the places that have our products in revenue service. 

Does PSG Fastener do any construction work?
While we are not a railroad construction specialist, our expertise in drilling and installing anchoring products has been called upon when an emergency arises. We will go on-site and do the work ourselves, if that is the best solution for our customers. 

How much do your products cost?
Insulguard inserts are an extremely cost effective solution. Because we offer a wide range of inserts, we can supply the "right sized" product for your application, which maximizes value. 

Do you provide all the hardware required for a job?
An insert is only part of a fastening system. We supply all the bolts, washers, etc. We test our inserts using our hardware and recommend that all of the components be supplied together. 

What are the torque values of the inserts?
Torque requirements vary by insert size. We have recommended values for each insert. Please consult your PSG Fastener representative for best torque values. 

How strong are the inserts?
All of our inserts exceed all AREMA standards for pullout strength and torque requirements.
